ABOUT ME AND MY WORK

"I am a video game developer, designer, and programmer who wishes to create games that are informative, enjoyable, and accessible to everyone."

 -- Tylee Hill-Drish

I am a bachelor's degree candidate at William Peace University (WPU), a long-established, award-winning, liberal arts college located in Raleigh, NC.  Now in my junior year as a Simulation & Game Design (SGD) major, I have taken courses in programming, design technology, UI/UX interactive design, multimedia content, 2D/3D modeling, animation, virtual reality (VR) development, and collaborative design.

I am presently seeking to engage in an internship, either onsite or remote, that will allow me to showcase my skills in video game development, programming, level design, 3D modeling, and animation and to learn new skills that will be valuable to present and future employers.

PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS FROM "TITAN"

Collaborative Project: "Titan"

With a team of fellow design students in my Collaborative Game Design course at William Peace University, I used Unreal Engine 5, C++ and Blueprints, and MagicaVoxel to help design and program "Titan" -  a first-person voxel horror game with space themes and AI characters.  Thanks to all my  teammates  -Jasmine, Caleb, Brendan, and Ishmael - for their great work!

EXPERIENCE "TITAN"

Design Tech II Project: "SnowFall Mountain"

This is a video snippet of a third-person, subway-surfer inspired, game that I designed and programmed  in my sophomore year at William Peace University  as part of my Game Design Tech II course.  Titled "SnowFall Mountain," it was my first experience with Unreal Engine 5.  The third-person game allows players to snowboard toward the bottom of a snowy mountain assisted by speed boosters and obstacle evasion ramps.  SnowFall Mountain is  currently in further development.
